Timothy Boren, age 81 of Belle Fourche, went home to heaven on Saturday April 27, 2024 at his home.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:30am Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Global Methodist Church in Belle Fourche. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Belle Fourche Veterans Honor Guard. Arrangements are with Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche.
Timothy David Boren was born May 27, 1942 in Stanton, Texas. He was the son of Delmon and Ina (Jones) Boren. Tim grew up in the Andrews County Texas area where he attended and graduated from high school. Tim served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964. For several years, Tim served in the Andrews Volunteer Fire Department, and was a Past Chief of the department. In 1993, Tim was united in marriage to Patricia Sutfin-Eckart in Andrews Texas. Following their marriage they lived in Texas, and then retired to Belle Fourche in 2000. Tim and Pat enjoyed traveling together, and special memories were made during their cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska.
Tim will be remembered for his sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing and being part of a horseshoe league and gold panning club. He will be greatly missed.
Tim is survived by his wife, Patricia of Belle Fourche; 4 daughters, Kobi (David) Fryman of Odessa TX, Kim (Abel) DeLaCruz of Andrews TX, Christy (Joe) Hillsman of Paris TX, Beth (Anthony) Bandiero of Orange TX; 2 step-daughters, Laura (Robert) Smith of Florida, Sandra Whittecar of Belgrade MT; step-son, John (Michele) Eckart of Spearfish; several grandchildren; 2 brothers, Dale (Sandy) Boren of Fort Worth TX, Danny (Nancy) Boren of Andrews TX; and sister, Sue Padgett of Robert Lee TX.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, JoLynn Queener.
