Robert “Sonny” Scott

Robert Henry Scott, Jr. was born March 26, 1934 in Delta City, Mississippi. Know by his family as Sonny, he was the son of Robert Scott Sr. and Florence “Mildred” Manor. For many years, Sonny worked as an electrician involved in large infrastructure projects around the country. He loved all things Louisiana and legend has it that he went to middle school with Elvis. He retired in Belle Fourche because he was drawn to the quality and nature of the people in the Belle Fourche area.

Sonny died June 19, 2024 at the Rolling Hills Healthcare Center in Belle Fourche. He was 90 years old. He is survived by his daughters Lisa (nee Scott) Brinkman of Denver, Colorado; Patricia (nee Scott) Shultz of Parker, Colorado; sons Robert Scott III and Jeffrey Scott of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his sister JoEllen (nee Scott) Troy of Parkton, Maryland and is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary (nee Scott) Napolitano of Staten Island, New York.

Sonny will be interrred in his historical family home of Leesville, Louisiana, at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
