I never thought it would end up this way,
I was thinking God would heal me some day.
I planned on a miracle, and a new start,
I thought God would do it – to show us His heart.
But now that I’m in heaven
I see things differently.
There’s no pain, no sickness
God healed me perfectly.
Remember all those questions,
How we kept asking God why?
Well I understand it all now,
Here, in the sweet by and by.
It’s so beautiful here
And you wouldn’t believe me!
I’ve seen Grandma Patty, Grandpa Lyman
And so many family.
Remember now people,
Death isn’t the end.
It’s a brand-new beginning,
I’m really not dead.
We’ll see each other again
Everything will be okay.
Keep trusting our King,
He’ll walk with you each day.
Remember to love God,
He understands when you ask why.
Things don’t make sense now
That’s partly why He died.
He died to rescue and save,
He suffered for our sin.
He even asked “Why?” in the garden,
He also greeted me, “Gavin! Enter in!”
