Emma O’Dea, age 94 of Belle Fourche, died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Belle Fourche Healthcare Center.
An open house celebration of her life will take place from 11am to 1pm on Friday, April 19th, 2019 at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Lunch will be provided and her family will be present. Interment will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery earlier in the morning.
Emma Leola Miller was born January 16, 1925 in Musselshell, Montana. She was the daughter of Leo and Mae (Abercrombie) Miller. Emma graduated from high school at Sumatra, Montana and following she moved to Seattle Washington. Emma was married to Francis O’Dea following his discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1962, they moved to Belle Fourche.
Emma is survived by her sons, Bill (Charla) of Belle Fourche, Roger (Kris) of Belle Fourche, David (Beverly) of North Platte NE; 6 grandchildren, Brian, Kevin, Kari, Ben, Peter, Christopher; 4 great grandchildren, Wyatt, Liam, Norah, and Charlie.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis in 2002; brother, Bill Miller; and sister, Evie Lecoe.
