Bret D Kidd (Pudge)
Bret D. Kidd was born on January 12, 1964, in Belle Fourche, S.D. to Lauren and Peggy Kidd. He had one sibling, Murel Kidd who now resides in New Mexico.
Growing up in a musical family Bret went on to live his dream, playing music. He shared his musical talents in multiple states. Bret traveled to Nashville, to record his album, women are the heroes. He had the honor of opening for mark chestnut and meeting Charley Pride as well as various other artist. Some of his most requested songs were Elvis songs. Bret played with several bands over the years: Lucky Draw, JD Green, Southern Bound, The Wilt Brothers and Dakota Country to name a few. Bret loved his community; he filled the hearts of many families with his amazing voice, by supporting area benefits. In 2021, Bret was inducted into the Legends of Dakota Country Music Hall of Fame, where his legend will live on.
Bret’s love for music was accompanied with his love of animals, and his passion for riding motorcycles and fixing computers. Bret battled many health issues in the last few years and sadly passed away July 25 2024.
Bret was preceded in death by his parents, Lauren and Peggy Kidd and his son, Bret Aaron Kidd. His Legacy will live on through his children: Levi, Tyler, Lauren,Cody, Thomas. Also his Uncle Jay Kidd and Crystal Kidd thank you for your extra support and care.
