Brenda Westers, age 55 of Buffalo, died Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her home, as a result of a tragic house fire.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Old Harding County High School Gymnasium in Buffalo. Inurnment will take place at a later date, at Buffalo Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to assist Brenda’s children and grandson.
Brenda LeAnn Westers was born June 29, 1966 in Buffalo. She was the daughter of Norman and Vonda (Loof) Westers. Brenda grew up on the family ranch in Harding County and graduated from Harding County High School in 1984. After high school she moved to Rapid City where she worked at several places, including the Big Boy Restaurant, Holiday Inn and the Alex Johnson hotels. While living there, she became friends with many people in the local music and skate scenes. In 2006 she moved back to Buffalo. Many people were accustomed to seeing her at the Number 3 Saloon where she worked over the past 13 years. Brenda loved her customers there, and she was dedicated to her work. Brenda was a free-spirited woman who loved animals and nature. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Brenda is survived by her son, Brandon Wright of Buffalo; daughter, Amanda Wright of Portland OR; grandson, Elijah Caponigro-Wright; father, Norman (Eileen) Westers of Buffalo; sisters, Rhonda Westers of Chicago IL, D.J. Russell of Box Elder; brother, Tory (Deanne Witf) Westers of Buffalo.
