Rebecca Ann Merrill was born July 26, 1935 in Belle Fourche. She was the daughter of Charlie and Mary Anna (Brawner) Merrill. Bud died in 1987 at a very young age. Becky was a rock to her family during those hard years without her husband. She worked hard to keep things going, and eventually retired in 2006. In her younger years she did a lot of babysitting, and she cleaned the Bank of Belle Fourche, and she made many clothes for her children to wear.
Becky was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was great at watching the grandchildren. She was an exceptional cook and baker, and she taught her girls well. Becky enjoyed making big meals, and many happy meals were enjoyed together. She was kind and giving, and a friend to many. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
