Nancy L. Robinson

Nancy L. Robinson, age 61 of Belle Fourche, died Thursday February 25th, 2010 at the David M. Dorsett Health Care Center in Spearfish. A memorial service will be held 11am Monday March 1, 2010 at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche, with Rev. Paul Howard officiating. Inurnment will be held in Pine Slope Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Nancy Lee Rowley was born December 19, 1948 in Tucson, Arizona. She was the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Nystrom) Rowley. When she was six months old, Nancy moved with her family to Warren, Pennsylvania where she grew up in a log cabin. She graduated from Warren High School in 1966. In 1967, Nancy was married to David Paul McDanel. To this union two children were born: Jennifer and Ron. In 1972, Nancy and David moved to Tucson AZ and they later lived in Aurora CO. David died in 1993. Nancy was married to Roger Robinson on August 14, 2005 in Greeley Colorado. Following their marriage they lived in Evans CO. In 2008 they moved to Belle Fourche, SD to provide care to Nancy’s ailing father who died in 2009. Nancy worked as a day care provider for 28 years. Many children were taken under her care during those years. Nancy will be remembered for her faith, and her compassionate are caring heart. She loved the Lord through many hardships that she faced in life. She was a talented painter and enjoyed painting landscapes and scenery. Nancy was also a poet and her poetry will now be treasured for years to come. Nancy is survived by her husband, Roger of Belle Fourche; daughter, Jennifer (Dan) Feller of Loveland CO; son, Ron (Lisa) McDanel of Fort Collins CO; 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ryan, Brandon, Marky, Maddy, Haven, and Tiegan. She was preceded in death by her parents.
