Howard Bell, age 76 of Belle Fourche, died Saturday, September 24, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving son and daughter. The memorial service will be held 10 am Saturday, October 1st, 2016 at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will take place at Hillview Cemetery, in Isabel. Roy Howard Bell was born January 1, 1940 in Dupree South Dakota. He was the son of Arnold and Elva (Rosander) Bell. Howard grew up on the family ranch near Dupree and was a graduate of Sturgis High School in 1957. Later he was united in marriage to Leona Flowers and to his union a son was born, Arnold. Later Howard and Leona were divorced and years later he was married to Beverly Mae Ager. To this union was born George, Roy, and Marilyn. And years later, Howard and Beverly were divorced. Howard worked for many years as a machinist and millwright. He lived in the Powell Wyoming area, as well at Washington, California, and Texas. He retired in 2002 and soon after he moved to Belle Fourche so that he could take care of his mother. Howard had a charismatic personality, he was a jack of all trades, and he will be greatly missed. Howard is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Walker of Belle Fourche; sons, Roy (Tammy) Bell of Hill City, Arnold (Pam) Bell of Washington, George (Christy) Bell of Texas; 6 grandchildren, Karl, Candi, Jessica, Jada, Josh, Kayla, Megan; and 2 great grandchildren, Landon and Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents.
