Timothy Gibson Sr.

** VIDEO TRIBUTE CAN BE VIEWED BY CLICKING WEBLINK ABOVE (COMPUTERS ONLY)  ** Timothy Gibson Sr., age 54 of Belle Fourche, died Sunday October 18th, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his loving family following a short illness. A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held 10:30am Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at the Open Bible Church in Belle Fourche. A visitation will be held with the family present, on Friday from 5 to 7pm, at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Northern Hills. Timothy Darrell Gibson was born September 27, 1961 at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. He was the son of Pete and Betty (Thomas) Gibson. Tim grew up in the Rapid City area, following his father’s retirement from the Air Force. He graduated from the Douglas High School in 1979. Tim was a self-taught diesel mechanic. He was one of the best in the country. He worked at several places including Johnson Ford and Scott Peterson Motors. For the past 8 years, he worked on the equipment and vehicles in Wright Wyoming, at the Black Thunder Coalmine. He was united in marriage to Shannon Schleuning on April 24, 2010 in Belle Fourche. Together they enjoyed 5 ½ years of marriage, and they loved each other so much. Tim enjoyed playing softball and he was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings. He had a great sense of humor, was selfless in so many ways. He loved his wife and family very much, especially his grandchildren. Tim will be greatly missed. Tim is survived by his wife Shannon of Belle Fourche; children, Tim Gibson Jr. of Belle Fourche, Kaitlynn Harman of Belle Fourche, Jack Heidrich of Belle Fourche; 4 grandchildren, Kaydence, Arianna, Berklee, Leaha; brother, Randy Gibson of Rapid City; sisters, Jessica (Mark) Fredrick of Rapid City, Deb (Rod) Halm of Grand Island NE; and nieces and nephews and friends.
