Michael L. Dahlvang Sr.

Michael Lee Dahlvang, age 64 of Verndale MN, died Sunday May 24, 2015 at the David M. Dorsett Healthcare Center in Spearfish. Funeral arrangements are pending with Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. A service is being planned in Michael's home area in Minnesota for sometime this summer. When a date is set, this website will be updated immediately. Michael Lee Dahlvang was born March 15, 1951 in Staples, Minnesota. He was the son of Elmer and Mildred (Woodbridge) Dahlvang. Michael grew up in the Staples area and he was a graduate of Staples High School. He was married to Vicki Marie Kasper for several years before they divorced. To this union was born a son and a daughter: Mike and Nina Marie. Michael was a man who worked hard. For many years he worked as a logger and a finish operator in many areas of Minnesota. He was a true outdoorsman and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a good man who would help anyone that needed it. He was also a good father and grandfather, and he will be missed greatly. Michael is survived by his son, Mike (Tammy) Dahlvang of Belle Fourche; 2 grandchildren, Seth and Marissa Dahlvang of Belle Fourche, brother, Dennis Dahlvang of Minnesota; and nephews, Eric, Pete, and Ben. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nina Marie Dahlvang; and nephew, Everett.
