Roger Denevan

Roger Denevan, age 28 of Belle Fourche, died Friday May 23, 2014 at the Spearfish Regional Hospital, following a severe epileptic attack. The funeral service will be held 10:30 am Tuesday May 27th, 2014 at the Christian Life Center in Belle Fourche. Visitation will be held 5 to 7 pm Monday at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Roger Lavalle Denevan was born December 3, 1985 in Lander, Wyoming. He was the son of Kelly Denevan and Jeanne Stanton. At the age of 17, Roger moved to Belle Fourche where he graduated from the Belle Fourche High School. For several years he worked at the Northern Hills Training Center in Spearfish. Roger was a special person to know. He was full of enthusiasm and he loved the outdoors and fishing. He especially loved the Special Olympics. With over 100 medals and ribbons, Roger excelled and he wouldn’t miss an event. Roger will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Roger is survived by his mother, Jeanne (Tony) Foutz of Belle Fourche; father, Kelly Denevan of Lander WY; sister, Christine Denevan of Belle Fourche; brother, Marty (Jessica) Denevan of Lander WY; step-sisters, Marie Snyder, Betty Foutz, Shelly Godfrey all of Lander WY; step-brother, Jimmy Denevan of Lander WY; half-brother, Daniel Denevan of Lander WY; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Linda Stanton of Belle Fourche; paternal grandmother, June Denevan of Lander WY; grandmother, Jean Foutz of Lander WY; and several aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
