Frances Svoboda

Frances Apland Svoboda, age 79 of Belle Fourche, died Saturday May 3, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday May 10th, 2014 at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche with Pastor Paul Howard officiating.  Visitation will be 5 to 6:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.  Interment will take place in Alva Cemetery, in Alva, Wyoming.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Frances Louise Svoboda was born April 23, 1935 in Hulett, Wyoming.  She was the daughter of Joe and Sue (Pannell) Svoboda.    She graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1953.  In 1955 she was united in marriage to Larry Apland.  To this union three daughters were born: Jolene, Marcia, and Maryl.  Frances lived in Belle Fourche all her life.   Frances is survived by her daughters, Jolene (Blaine) Smith of Sioux Falls, Marcia (Tim) Hoeck of Alva WY, Maryl Wassom of Sioux Falls; 3 grandchildren, Alexis Smith, Seth Rozeboom, JJ Wassom; 4 step-grandchildren, Jeremy, Christina,  Jenny, Danyelle; and great grandchildren, Talon and MariAnne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Olle Sue; and brothers, Vance and Robert Svoboda.
