Steven "Tom" Edwards

  Steven “Tom” Edwards, age 51 of Belle Fourche, died Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2pm Monday, May 5th, 2014 at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche with Pastor Jeff Otterman officiating. There will be no visitation. Steven Thomas Edwards was born November 13, 1962 in Wetumpka, Alabama.  At a young age he moved with his family to the Black Hills of South Dakota where he grew up and attended school.  Tom was a 1981 graduate of Spearfish High School.  He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served for 5 years beginning in 1981.  Tom spent five years working at Nieman Enterprises in Hulett, and for the past 14 years he worked at Turbiville Electric in Belle Fourche.  Tom enjoyed his employment there very much.  Tom was a devoted and loving father, and grandfather and was adored by his children and grandchildren.  His love for his grandchildren is endless.  Tom is survived by his daughters, Courtney (John) Hurney of Sioux Falls, Rachael (Loren) Schaub of Belle Fourche; 4 grandchildren, Josh, Aiden, Ellie, Scout; mother, Evelyn Powell of Rapid City; sisters, Lisa (Jerry) Brown of Rapid City, and Kathy (Brian) Davis of Cedar Rapids, IA. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Edwards.
