Robert "Taylor" Johnson

** LOCATION OF SERVICE HAS CHANGED TO MOUNTAIN VIEW BAPTIST CHURCH **Robert “Taylor” Johnson, age 26 of Spearfish, was found April 9th, 2014 on Lookout Mountain in Spearfish, where he enjoyed the outdoors and hiking. A memorial service will be held 1:30 P.M. Thursday April 17th, 2014 at the Mountain View Baptist Church in Spearfish with Pastor Wes White officiating.  There will be no visitation. Funeral arrangements are with Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Robert Keith Johnson was born October 19, 1987 in Watertown, SD.  He was the son of Chuck and Cindy (Taylor) Johnson.  Robert grew up in Doland SD, where he graduated from high school.  Later he moved to Redfield SD where he worked at a nursing home and a construction firm.  In 2009 he moved to Cushing OK where he worked as a Foreman for a railroad company.  In 2010 he moved to Sioux Falls where he attended Southeast Technical Institute.  Since October of 2012 Robert has lived in Spearfish where he owned and operated a moving company, “Smooth Movers”. Robert loved music and the outdoors.  He enjoyed teaching guitar, hiking, and spending time with Hilary.  He loved his family very much, and he will be greatly missed. Robert is survived by his father, Chuck (Mimi) Johnson of Huron, SD; mother, Cindy (Gary) McNall of Cushing OK; brothers, Thaddeus (Beth) Johnson of Flandreau SD, Jeremy (Brooke) Johnson of Springfield MO, Luke (and fiancé Kayla) Johnson of White SD, Joshua (Shannon) Johnson of Cushing OK; sisters, Teresa (Ali) McIntyre of Brookings SD, and Sara (Billy) Johnson of Colman SD; grandmother Joan A Johnson of Madison, SD.  Robert is also survived by his girlfriend, Hilary Palmer of Spearfish and his nieces and nephews whom he was very proud of: Jakob (13), Caleb (11), Elijah (2), Linsey (12), Nathaniel (8), Kimberly (3), Charlie (9), Lily (6), and Anabel (2). He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joann Hodge; grandfathers Robert Keith Taylor and Dale Gus Johnson; aunt, Rebecca Johnson; cousins, Johan Johnson, Justin Bronson and Robert Riibe.
