** TO VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE, CLICK ON WEB LINK ABOVE **Randy Brown, age 60 of Belle Fourche, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Belle Fourche Health Care Center. The funeral will be held 10am Saturday, March 16th, 2013 at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche with Pastor Paul Howard officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Pine Slope Cemetery. James Randall Brown was born August 9, 1952 in Spencer Iowa. He was the son of Gene and Grace (Green) Brown. In 1962, Randy moved with his family to Belle Fourche where he graduated from high school in 1970. Shortly afterwards, he began working for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. This turned into a career of working for the railroad, but due to his health issues he was forced to retire in 2008. Randy loved anything that had to do with trains and the railroad. His career took him all over the country, replacing rails and helping clear train wrecks. He was a past Steward, Past Secretary, and Past Treasurer of the Brotherhood of Maintenance Union. Randy was an avid Volks Marcher and he participated in Volks Marches throughout American, including the Black Hills. He enjoyed riding his bike, and he collected railroad memorabilia, including toy trains and tracks. He will be greatly missed. Randy is survived by his mother, Grace Brown of Belle Fourche; sister, Trudy (Bob) Hoard of Belle Fourche; niece, Sharon (Sergio) Arellano of Naperville IL; nephew, Mike (Robin) Hoard of Seymour WI; and 7 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Brown.
