** TO VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE, CLICK WEB LINK ABOVE ** Gladys Bonefield, age 96 of Belle Fourche, died Thursday, March 07, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. The funeral service will be held 10:30am Monday, March 11th, 2013 at the St. James Lutheran Church in Belle Fourche. Visitation will be held 2 to 7 pm Sunday, with the family present from 5pm to 7pm, at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Interment will take place in the Pine Slope Cemetery, in Belle Fourche. Gladys LaVonne Wolden was born September 22, 1916 in Akron, Iowa to Severin and Hilda (Bengsten) Wolden. Her family farmed in Union County South Dakota until they moved to a ranch near Camp Crook in 1929.She attended country schools in Union and Hardin Counties. She married William Bonefield on August 6, 1938 at the Presbyterian Church in Sturgis, South Dakota. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1988. Willie and Gladys raised their family on the Bonefield Ranch near Capitol, Montana and at their home in Belle Fourche where the children attended school. During this time she was the Avon Lady who kept all the ladies in Belle Fourche and the surrounding area smelling good and looking presentable for over 30 years. During her time in town she was active in the Tea Time Bowling League and Butte County Homemakers. She was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts serving as area chairman of cookie sales for many years. She was also a member of Gustav Lutheran Church and St. James Lutheran Church in Belle Fourche. After Willie’s death in 1990 she continued to live at her home in Belle Fourche where her daughter, Marilyn, lived with her cared for her until her death. Gladys is survived by her sons, Gary (Alice) of Ainsworth NE, Roger (Judy) of Capitol MT; daughters, Marilyn Keys of Belle Fourche, Billye (Jerry) Roseleip of Deer Lodge MT, Terry (Tim) Seifert of Casper WY; 16 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and her sister, Lois Johnson of Camp Crook SD. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; an infant son; grandson, Kreg Bonefield; and brother, Jewel Wolden.
