** TO VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE, CLICK WEBLINK ABOVE ** Ruby Helmberger, age 59 of Belle Fourche, died Sunday August 26, 2012 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. The funeral service will be held 10:30am Thursday August 30th, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Belle Fourche. Visitation will be held 9am to 7pm Wednesday, with the family present from 5 to 7pm, at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. At 6:30pm there will be a public prayer service and time of sharing memories. Interment will be held in the Pine Slope Cemetery, in Belle Fourche. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Ruby Jo Feiock was born November 12, 1952 in Dickinson, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Reuben and Francis (Leidholt) Feiock. Shortly after her first birthday, Ruby moved with her family to Mobridge, where she grew up on a family farm. In 1971 she graduated from Mobridge High School. On May 29th, 1971 she was united in marriage to Staff Sergeant Robert Helmberger in Mobridge. Following their marriage the couple resided in Minot, ND at the Minot Air Force Base. In 1976 they moved to Belle Fourche where they raised their daughter, Terri and son, James. Ruby worked part time at Clark’s Printing in Spearfish. Later she started with friendly home parties and used that income to start her gift shop at Mason’s Fifth Avenue in Belle Fourche. She retired in 2009 due to her health challenges. Ruby enjoyed bowling, coaching girl’s softball, boating, watching demolition derbies, and watching her husband Bob play pool. She was very active in the community, volunteering her time and energy decorating trees and wreaths for the Festival of Trees Auction, and helping kids at the after school church programs. Her passion was spending time with her grandchildren, whether it be on the beaches of Florida or at an all day soccer, volleyball, or basketball tournament. Ruby loved her family very much and she will be greatly missed. Ruby is survived by her husband, Robert of Belle Fourche; daughter, Terri Jo (Dustin) Moross of Belle Fourche; son, James (Jennifer) of Palm Bay FL; 10 grandchildren, Jordan, Alyx, Afton, Chance, Jayce, Calynn, Ray, Jasmyn, Jessica, and Robert; brother, Dean (Patti) Feiock of Mobridge; and sisters, Wanda Martin of Sioux Falls, and Karen (Roger) Jeffers of Sioux Falls. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Barb (Gary) Kopacek of Minneapolis MN, Donna Fossen of Belle Fourche, Nancy Hanson of Summerset SD; brother-in-law, Steve Kasparek of St. Louis MO; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Darold and Eleanor Helmberger; sisters-in-law, Darlene Jordahl, Linda Kasparek, Kathy Moe; brother-in-law, Marlen Moe; and several aunts and Uncles.
